Doctor Who - Voyager

This splendid Doctor Who entry in the Marvel Graphic Novel series is an absolute must-read for fans of the Timelord and, in particular, the Sixth Doctor (one of my absolute favourite Doctors).

Written by Steve Parkhouse and featuring fantastic art by John Ridgway (with superb coloring by Gina Hart), "Voyager" was originally published in Doctor Who Magazine #88-99 back in 1984. In my opinion, it is probably one of the very best Doctor Who comic strip stories ever and certainly a favourite of mine. It stars the Sixth Doctor along with his infamous comic book companion of the time: "Frobisher" - the alien shape shifter who chose to stay in the form of a penguin! The totally cool Sixth Doctor himself, Colin Baker, gives a very charming afterword at the end of the novel and states what a fan he is of Frobisher. I, myself, have always wanted to see Frobisher made "reality" and it would be great if ever the Sixth Doctor returned in the modern series to have Frobisher realised in CGI form (should be easy for the special fx crew nowadays).

The plot: The Sixth Doctor teams up with a shape-shifting penguin named Frobisher. Together they tangle with a psychopathic Time Lord named Astrolabus, while being followed by the evil granite-faced god Voyager.
