Here's one of my classic rips from the old Cosmoblog and 55 Bells times. It's such a classic that I was surprised I hadn't put it on here before so here it is now! I still have the original Cosmoblog post on the drive so here it is (saves me the work doing it again!)...
This is a stonkingly great (and hugely collectible) late-70s tv theme (with the exception of Superman which is a movie theme) collection. Highlights include: A frantic, pumping, fast-paced version of the surprisingly rarely-covered Return of the Saint theme, a lovely version of the Incredible Hulk tv theme (think I have a tear in my eye!), the funky version of the Spiderman theme as used on Kenny Everett's Television Show, Batman is great as it's a bit more inventive and energetic compared to most cover versions of the popular tv theme and features a great drum break, Wonder Woman is very acid jazz - sounds like JTQ!, The Six Million Dollar Man theme is very well performed with some great phasered guitar and I've always really liked the version of the Doctor Who theme - midway through it begins to sound like a showjumping/horse racing theme before getting some excellent Pink Panther-style punchy brass - it's great! Enjoy!
